Advice on housing options for people with special needs

If you would like advice about housing options for people with special needs, there are a number of organisations which might be able to help.

• Ownership Options provides information on home buying for disabled people.
• Housing Care provides comprehensive information on housing options for older people
• The House Key is an online directory of Scottish housing support services for older people and people with support needs.
• Argyll and Bute Care and Repair – if you own your home, Care and Repair can help you to apply for a grant to install an aid or adaptation, like a ramp or stair lift.  You can contact Argyll and Bute Care & Repair on 01631 567780.
• The Supporting People service provides advice about the support that you can get in your own home, and can help you with organising this.  The team is based at Cowal Resource Centre, Bullwood Road, Dunoon – 01369 703 420. For more information, and for local area contacts click here.
